What to expect:
Muskox are mighty animals all year round, but it is in the winter that these arctic animals really come into their own. The trip takes place in Dovrefjell National Park, where you visit the muskox with a private guide, who knows the area well and ensures safety. During the hike you will learn all about the muskox, other animals and the history and culture of Dovrefjell.
This trip is offered for groups of 2-10 people, and you share the guide with other participants. The hike is 6-12km, and takes about 5-6 hours. Due to the conditions and ascent along the way, it is recommended to use snowshoes. These snowshoes can be rented.
Minimum age for this trip is 13 years.
What to bring
Bring extra warm clothing, as the weather is unpredictable. We advise to wear warm shoes. Bring a packed lunch with something warm to drink, and of course binoculars if you have them!
