Trollskogen Gård (translated as Troll Forest Farm) Farm-Stay & Glamping is located strategically with Dovrefjell, Dombås, Rauma Valley, Trollstigen & Trollveggen a mere stone’s throw away…..The fjords of Åndalsnes & Ålesund together with the world-famous Romsdalen Gondola magnificently complete the travel circuit.
Surrounded by three national parks – Trollheimen, Reinheimen and Dovrefjell you can immerse yourself in spectacular nature whist completely forgetting the hustle and bustle of city-life. Enjoy a quaint, fairy-land experience in unspoilt Norwegian nature combined with comfort and charm. Using your cabin, glamping tent or apartment as a base to enjoy daytrips to some of Norway’s most famous highlights or enjoy the endless possibilities of your direct surroundings with fishing, biking, hiking and swimming in pristine nature.
Trollskogen Gård is situated at 550 metres on the banks of the Lågen river, in the famous Gudbrandsdal valley, 25kms west of Dombås. In addition, we also offer rustic accommodation at our highland pasture (seter) at 1000metres. Our farm & highland pasture are secluded, serene and surrounded by spectacular nature. The area is known for its abundance in fauna & flora with moose, elk, deer, reindeer, musk-ox, wolverine, fox, lynx, hare and a plethora of bird-life.
We offer delicately furnished cozy apartments, cabins with old-style rustic charm & luxurious glamping tents which will engulf you in a feeling of timelessness and relaxation. Each unit has outdoor seating, a patio or balcony and wonderful views.
During the summer a sumptuous breakfast is served every morning with warm home-made bread, farm-fresh eggs and local delicacies. All grown and produced sustainably by local farmers.
